Shop & Eat

June 20, 2008 by karn623

This week I purchased: a pair of R&R with the double R, a Talula white long sleeve cardigan, 2 plain short sleeve tees, 1 plain long sleeve and Juicy Couture’s fragrance <3 I am really happy but my heart is also aching badly haha.

Yam fries, thin crust pizza, Taiwanese fried chicken with rice (x2), honey green milk tea <3 I think I should stay away from fried food :(

Since then…

June 15, 2008 by karn623

Since then, I’ve been quite busy… with paper work to complete before my departure, shifts at work and uni course work.

The weekend was productive because me and my partner finally got the ball rolling. We successfully completed the draft of our questions for our upcoming seminar (which we will lead).

My latest loove: Tim Hortons soup with roll, food court’s sushi, green tea or coconut ice cream smoothie. Oh how I miss talking about food and oh how much I love food.

Happy Father’s Day! I got my Dad a vertical stripe short sleeve shirt :D

Tomorrow: private sale and midterm.

Good News

June 10, 2008 by karn623

Good news, good news!! ;) From now until then, I guess I will be very busy preparing for everything. In the meantime, I’ll also try my best and work hard in my courses!

Through it all, I’m very Thankful.. for HIM and his blessings <3

  1. Thank you to the professors who helped me out with the reference letters! Without their help, I would not have submitted my applications successfully!
  2. Thank you for those who inspired me and ensured that it’ll be a good experience and that it’s really worth trying! (I hope so hehe. Well I’m prepared for good and bad but I know through it all, I’ll be able to look back and realized it’s an experience I would never forget)
  3. Thank you to those who’s been encouraging me … constantly telling me not to worry. And for supporting me. It really means a lot to me <3
  4. And those who’s been not too supportive, Thanks too? Haha. Because at least I know I’m still existent? <3 But I’ve got to do what I need to do to continue to grow and to learn as an individual.. and to continue to move along in this journey of life.

Strange Weather

June 5, 2008 by karn623

Where is the summer? Where is the sun? I’m freezing here :( I remember last year at this time, it was quite warm where I was able to wear shorts and tees.

I’ve started a new photo log. Introducing capturedd.

Yesterday I discovered the 7″ laptop that’s been out for sometime now. The one by Asus. They actually sell it at The Source for no more than $450. It’s affordable and I am tempted to purchase it but then in the back of my mind, I’m asking if it’s really necessary? Because when I first got the iPod Touch, I wanted it because of it’s wifi spec. Well of course, I have no regrets purchasing the iPod Touch .. just that the only time I take advantage of the wifi is when I wake up in the morning and I check if there’s new email on my Gmail inbox. Otherwise, I rarely use it elsewhere. Hmm.

Lesson

Lesson I learned today about work ethics: age is nothing but a number. It’s the experience that you possess that will allow others to respect you.

Mood of the day: super stressed.

Here I Am

May 25, 2008 by karn623

This is a crazy world
These can be lonely times
It’s hard to know who’s on your side
Most of the time

Who can you really trust
Who do you really know
Is there anybody out there
Who can make you feel less alone?
Here I Am - Leona Lewis

Camera Talk

May 25, 2008 by karn623

So there are plans to get a new digital camera and I finally looked into it because I think my Casio is slowly getting worst? However, I’m having the biggest dilemma on what camera to purchase. The very first digital camera I used was Canon S45 (released 2002), which I must say is a very very good camera. The picture quality is great. You can program it, self-timer, and has a RAW file option. The only downside is the weight (really heavy), the battery life and it has a megapixel of 4.0.

So at first, I was thinking of getting the same series because I like all those options and it’s easy to use. But it turns out that they don’t really have the new models anymore. It has completely changed.. which is a huge disappointment because I don’t know what to get. I guess the next series up is the G series which I actually have my eye on for quite awhile BUT the price is over my budget. In fact, it’s even more expensive than the DSLR, Nikon D40, which is on promotion right now. I think it’s a pretty good deal but I’m not looking for a SLR though because… I am looking for a camera that I can put in my bag and besides, I STILL have not figured out how to use the family’s Sony A100 yet haha.

I might have to consider looking into Ricoh or Samsung but it’ll be hard for me to get ahold of these two brands in here. Ahh. But I like their sleek design though.. especially Samsung.

Oh, I also want one that has a wide-angle option…

Music Therapy

May 23, 2008 by karn623

At the moment, I’m chasing a deadline for a short essay that’s due tonight but I wanted to take a bit of time to blog… about my latest music addiction!

So I’ve always been a Big Bang fan since their single, “We Belong Together”. Well I wasn’t a big fan but I always thought they were quite talented and um.. good looking. Haha. But I wasn’t like crazy about them or anything since they are all younger than me. It feels a bit strange but yeah, their music is really catchy. I love it. And recently, Tae Yang - one of the members, released a solo album… and I’ve been quite addicted since then.

I’ve also been listening to Leona Lewis non stop. I didn’t know she came from X-Factor until I searched her clips via Youtube yesterday. I love her album, Spirit! And I find her songs really inspirational especially “Better in Time”, “Here I Am” and “Footprints in the Sand”.
