Since then…

June 15, 2008

Since then, I’ve been quite busy… with paper work to complete before my departure, shifts at work and uni course work.

The weekend was productive because me and my partner finally got the ball rolling. We successfully completed the draft of our questions for our upcoming seminar (which we will lead).

My latest loove: Tim Hortons soup with roll, food court’s sushi, green tea or coconut ice cream smoothie. Oh how I miss talking about food and oh how much I love food.

Happy Father’s Day! I got my Dad a vertical stripe short sleeve shirt :D

Tomorrow: private sale and midterm.

Do You Know

“I’m standing on the edge and I don’t know what else to give.”
Do You Know - Enrique Iglesias

Today’s To Do List: work, essay, study for midterm.

Lesson

Lesson I learned today about work ethics: age is nothing but a number. It’s the experience that you possess that will allow others to respect you.

Mood of the day: super stressed.

The Tears in Life

April 20, 2008

I don’t recall the last time I laughed so hard that tears nearly came out of my eyes. I’m very thankful for His’ guidance and blessings. I’m finally seeing so much and experiencing so much and I know I still have a long way to go.

“That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you’ve understood all your life, but in a new way.” Doris Lessing

“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt (1884 - 1962)

Incident #1

Me: (Reads off the label) This is carbon fiber and this is stainless steel.
Customers: Oh! How can you tell?
Me: Oh.. um, I actually can’t (Laughs)
Customers: (Laughs)

Man, it was so funny and embarrassing at the same time!
