I am finally done my papers for this semester!! Now I just have two more exams and I will be in full mode to study for it in the upcoming days.. meanwhile juggling work…
Yesterday I purchased myself the biggest gift ever. A Sony Vaio CR series in white. I love the whiteness.
I know I always say that Chinese food isn’t my favorite out of all the other food.. but because I haven’t had dim sum for soo long, I was craving it for the past 2 days. I finally had it this afternoon and it was delicious! I guess I will miss Chinese food when I’m gone

Time is really flying. The past week has been so busy that I honestly feel like a robot and a zombie. The ratio of work to sleep is like 3:1. Haha. But I’m still alive, still hanging in there. Despite the busy schedule, I’m very thankful for many things in life. It truly took “a lot of prayers to get me through” (Backstreet Boys – The Perfect Fan).
Today I almost missed the deadline for a small assignment for one of my course… and luckily, I didn’t miss it and even finished it on time. Thank God. Even though it’s not a lot of marks, but every effort helps.
Since my last post(s), I’ve been researching a lot on the laptops… and I have to say that I no longer have the Vaio NR series in mind. Instead, the CR series is what I’m looking into. Like I mentioned before, if I wasn’t going anywhere, NR series is quite appealing – in terms of price and style. With that price, part of me is so tempted to purchase it just for the heck of it. Talk about shopping impulse hehe.
I also want a Samsung widescreen LCD!!
Recently ate food: Tim Horton’s chocolate brownie iced cappuccino, caramel chocolate pecan cookie, California rolls, fish cutlet with poppy seed cream salad.

I haven’t blogged for so long… the days have been busy busy with the same old. School, work, school, work. But today, I won’t be blogging about school nor work
But I do want to blog about the 3G iPhone! It has been released for more than a week now (at least in Canada?). I don’t know why but the hype haven’t hit me yet. Perhaps, because I’m not really a phone person and I’m still very much in love with my white U600. However, I am quite a music person and I’m very attach to my music player but because I already have an iTouch therefore, I’m not tempted to get an iPhone at all. However, I do have to admit the 3G function (internet on the go) for the iPhone is rather appealing. But but.. because the phone plans here suck (hehe).. the 3G function doesn’t make it that appealing.
Next topic is laptop because I do have plans to purchase a new one. I do have a budget so it is quite a tough decision for me to pick the right one. I have the Sony NR series in mind which is under my budget. I love the design and the specs are good enough for me. The only problem I have is the 15.4″ size which is bigger than my current one. (Honestly, I wouldn’t mind IF I wasn’t going out of the country… but I AM..). Looking at the specs, if I compare it with other models such as Toshiba, Gateway or HP, I can get better specs (plus a mic and cam) for more or less the same price range. So that IS my biggest dilemma. In the back of my mind, I’m also considering the Sony CR series.. but I don’t know if that’s the price I want to spend.
Anyways, I will take my time to think about it.
The last topic is camera. I had an entry titled ‘Camera Talk’ back in May and well, I’ve finally purchased a new digital camera. Well.. the cameras I had in mind all along were the Canon G9 and Nikon P5100 but then I dropped the idea of purchasing a pro-ish camera because I wanted a more compact one. Then the one I was going to purchase was the Canon IXUS 860 but in the end, I got a Panasonic FX36. It won’t be in my hands until August so I’ll blog about it then. Yeah, hopefully in the very near future, I can get my hands on a semi pro camera.. either Canon, Nikon or Ricoh. I also like some of the models from Samsung. Yeah, I love the old school-ish styles <3

The past days, I feel like I’ve gone back to the old shoapholic me
I guess it’s also been very pleasant.
I enjoy being able to walk under the warm sunshine in shorts and in my Roberto Cavalli sunglasses, sipping to a caramel frappuccino from Starbucks.
I can spend an entire day in a craft or art supply store. I love art and I miss art.
I love western food much more than Chinese food. Lemon tarts are one of my favorite food in my list… I can now add apple caramel cheesecake onto the list too
Lately, I’ve been eating soo unhealthily. I’ve been eating so much fried or junk food and also instant noodles. As cliche as it sounds, why do unhealthy food taste so good?

Life has been keeping me busy! It’s always about work or uni, and when I do get the extra time, I’m meditating (not really haha). But simply spending time to find myself again such as through sleeping, eating, watching TV or shopping.
The other day I went shopping and I got 2 short sleeve tops, a pair of flip flops, a poofy heart necklace and a pair of shorts.
Summer is finally here and I am not complaining too much since… I’m frequently inside air con.
I’ve been eating way too much Taco Time’s mexi fries deluxe lately.. but it’s soo good. I’ve also been spending a huge portion of my money at Starbucks or Second Cup. I’ve drank about 3 cups of blended lemonade with green tea (Starbucks), 2 cups of strawberry lemonade (Second Cup) and 1 cup of strawberry & creme. I highly recommend the first 2
I’ve got 2 papers due by the end of this week! And right now, I’m spending Canada’s Day, the only free day I’ve gotten in the past few days, to catch up on my coursework!!

Yam fries, thin crust pizza, Taiwanese fried chicken with rice (x2), honey green milk tea <3 I think I should stay away from fried food

Since then, I’ve been quite busy… with paper work to complete before my departure, shifts at work and uni course work.
The weekend was productive because me and my partner finally got the ball rolling. We successfully completed the draft of our questions for our upcoming seminar (which we will lead).
My latest loove: Tim Hortons soup with roll, food court’s sushi, green tea or coconut ice cream smoothie. Oh how I miss talking about food and oh how much I love food.
Happy Father’s Day! I got my Dad a vertical stripe short sleeve shirt
Tomorrow: private sale and midterm.

Where is the summer? Where is the sun? I’m freezing here
I remember last year at this time, it was quite warm where I was able to wear shorts and tees.
I’ve started a new photo log. Introducing capturedd.

Yesterday I discovered the 7″ laptop that’s been out for sometime now. The one by Asus. They actually sell it at The Source for no more than $450. It’s affordable and I am tempted to purchase it but then in the back of my mind, I’m asking if it’s really necessary? Because when I first got the iPod Touch, I wanted it because of it’s wifi spec. Well of course, I have no regrets purchasing the iPod Touch .. just that the only time I take advantage of the wifi is when I wake up in the morning and I check if there’s new email on my Gmail inbox. Otherwise, I rarely use it elsewhere. Hmm.

So there are plans to get a new digital camera and I finally looked into it because I think my Casio is slowly getting worst? However, I’m having the biggest dilemma on what camera to purchase. The very first digital camera I used was Canon S45 (released 2002), which I must say is a very very good camera. The picture quality is great. You can program it, self-timer, and has a RAW file option. The only downside is the weight (really heavy), the battery life and it has a megapixel of 4.0.
So at first, I was thinking of getting the same series because I like all those options and it’s easy to use. But it turns out that they don’t really have the new models anymore. It has completely changed.. which is a huge disappointment because I don’t know what to get. I guess the next series up is the G series which I actually have my eye on for quite awhile BUT the price is over my budget. In fact, it’s even more expensive than the DSLR, Nikon D40, which is on promotion right now. I think it’s a pretty good deal but I’m not looking for a SLR though because… I am looking for a camera that I can put in my bag and besides, I STILL have not figured out how to use the family’s Sony A100 yet haha.
I might have to consider looking into Ricoh or Samsung but it’ll be hard for me to get ahold of these two brands in here. Ahh. But I like their sleek design though.. especially Samsung.
Oh, I also want one that has a wide-angle option…

Today for lunch, I had Japanese ramen and honey green tea. I like the ramen’s soup base but otherwise, it was just okay and not particularly special. I must say it was quite expensive too for a bowl of noodle soup.

In the afternoon, I dropped by the mall. I finally found a pair of inexpensive charcoal leggings! It’s so hard to find because I refuse to spend a lot and I dislike the spandex type. I really like the pair I got.. however, I’m unsure what to wear with it? I also got a jewelry holder from Claire’s. I love it and I am so glad I got it!
Earlier, I checked if my grades are out yet and 2/3 of them are!! So far so good <3 I’m very satisfied and happy because I worked so hard. Part of me is really proud of myself that I feel rather emotional at the moment. Before the semester started, I always wonder if I’ll make it. During the semester when I realized there are days when I have two deadlines to meet, I was worried if I’ll make it but I worked hard. I never gave up and always continued to have a positive mindset, and I made it through <3 Now I just have to continue to work hard next semester because future life changing events will also depend highly on those marks. I will do everything I can to try to make it!
“…Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”- Joshua 1:9
