This afternoon, I tried a new bubble tea/Taiwanese place for lunch. I had the popular chicken nuggets rice and the original milk tea with pearls. It’s not too bad but not the best I’ve tried! I think it’s because they put kimchi as a side dish. It’s a bit strange seeing it there considering kimchi is Korean food. But yeah, I haven’t had bubble tea nor Taiwanese food for awhile so it was nice.
It also made me miss Taiwan! I really hope to go back one day, some day. To me, the rural areas is such a peaceful place especially the sight of coconut trees and rice fields. The city also has its own distinct feature; the liveliness of the night markets full of delicious food and inexpensive things to buy. And I can’t ever forget the motorcycle that is literally everywhere especially in the south. It would be such a dream if I could ride in one of those…!!
Before dinner, I also made cheesecake tarts since I had half a chunk of the cream cheese left. But this time, I think it turned out a bit soggy and sweet, but overall, it’s still edible. I made two that are chocolate
I think cooking/baking has became my outlet and new found passion… it’s fun and a good way to pass time… though it’s the cooking/baking process that makes it more enjoyable when I have people who are more than glad to try my works.
