Today, I had an A&W hash brown and sausage and egg sandwich. I think I prefer McDonald’s better? Well it’s not bad but I like how McDonald’s use the English muffin whereas A&W use the regular sandwich.
Food helps me looks forward to things lol. And sometimes I’m just so Thankful that I do not gain weight easily because then, I can eat all I want. However, I do pay attention to the appearance of my body because I’m quite conscious especially about having a flabby or bulging stomach hehe.
The other day I saw Costco selling carrot and orange juice. I love carrot juice and I’ve tried it with apple and/or celery but never orange. It sounds a bit ‘new’ to me and I was curious how it’ll taste since orange is quite… citric? So today, I finally tried making it. To my surprise, it actually tasted quite good! The blend of carrot with orange juice really neutralizes the taste of orange juice. I recommend it!
I’ve finished the Mandarin drama yesterday. Although I really wanted to watch a romantic drama but I’m not sure if it was the most positive thing to do… since it seemed to made me more moody? Well I guess I’m alright now. I started watching another Japanese drama. It’s called Honey to Clover. I am usually more hyped about Korean dramas but this one is not too bad. It’s also a romantic drama but it’s quite funny. I actually laughed out loud, lol.

I don’t recall the last time I laughed so hard that tears nearly came out of my eyes. I’m very thankful for His’ guidance and blessings. I’m finally seeing so much and experiencing so much and I know I still have a long way to go.
“That is what learning is. You suddenly understand something you’ve understood all your life, but in a new way.” Doris Lessing
“You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.’ You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” Eleanor Roosevelt (1884 - 1962)

Me: (Reads off the label) This is carbon fiber and this is stainless steel.
Customers: Oh! How can you tell?
Me: Oh.. um, I actually can’t (Laughs)
Customers: (Laughs)
Man, it was so funny and embarrassing at the same time!

Today for lunch, I had Japanese ramen and honey green tea. I like the ramen’s soup base but otherwise, it was just okay and not particularly special. I must say it was quite expensive too for a bowl of noodle soup.

In the afternoon, I dropped by the mall. I finally found a pair of inexpensive charcoal leggings! It’s so hard to find because I refuse to spend a lot and I dislike the spandex type. I really like the pair I got.. however, I’m unsure what to wear with it? I also got a jewelry holder from Claire’s. I love it and I am so glad I got it!
Earlier, I checked if my grades are out yet and 2/3 of them are!! So far so good <3 I’m very satisfied and happy because I worked so hard. Part of me is really proud of myself that I feel rather emotional at the moment. Before the semester started, I always wonder if I’ll make it. During the semester when I realized there are days when I have two deadlines to meet, I was worried if I’ll make it but I worked hard. I never gave up and always continued to have a positive mindset, and I made it through <3 Now I just have to continue to work hard next semester because future life changing events will also depend highly on those marks. I will do everything I can to try to make it!
“…Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”- Joshua 1:9

Yesterday afternoon, I went for bubble tea/Taiwanese food again. I had the popular chicken nuggets rice (again!) but this time I had a honey green milk tea. It was so good and probably one the best bubble tea I’ve had!
This afternoon, I had chicken McNuggets and also decided to try its new cinnamon melts. To my surprise, it was soo good. I love it and is craving for it again!

Spring semester has finally ended! It still haven’t hit me yet and it feels a bit strange to be free for the upcoming weeks. Although this semester seemed to have passed by quickly, but it’s been busy with all the deadlines falling on Friday mornings and/or night. But I worked hard and survived through all of it! I am a bit anxious about results but I hope everything goes smoothly. All in all, I enjoyed the semester and Thank Him for his endless guidance <3

This afternoon, I tried a new bubble tea/Taiwanese place for lunch. I had the popular chicken nuggets rice and the original milk tea with pearls. It’s not too bad but not the best I’ve tried! I think it’s because they put kimchi as a side dish. It’s a bit strange seeing it there considering kimchi is Korean food. But yeah, I haven’t had bubble tea nor Taiwanese food for awhile so it was nice.

It also made me miss Taiwan! I really hope to go back one day, some day. To me, the rural areas is such a peaceful place especially the sight of coconut trees and rice fields. The city also has its own distinct feature; the liveliness of the night markets full of delicious food and inexpensive things to buy. And I can’t ever forget the motorcycle that is literally everywhere especially in the south. It would be such a dream if I could ride in one of those…!!
Before dinner, I also made cheesecake tarts since I had half a chunk of the cream cheese left. But this time, I think it turned out a bit soggy and sweet, but overall, it’s still edible. I made two that are chocolate

I think cooking/baking has became my outlet and new found passion… it’s fun and a good way to pass time… though it’s the cooking/baking process that makes it more enjoyable when I have people who are more than glad to try my works.

A picture of a daffodil I took about 2 weeks ago.

I’m looking forward to the end of this week… when everything is done and I get to have a break from uni for about 3 weeks! I am looking forward to shopping (and crossing my fingers to crossing the border!), staying up late to watch dramas and movies, cooking and baking, and cleaning my room(s). This just reminds me of the time when my little cousin asked why my bedroom is so dusty and I had to constantly warn her not to touch my dresser or my desk because it’s very dusty. I should clean it as soon as possible. But for now, I’ll continue to work hard and hopefully continue to keep my pace … until the marathon is done.
I’m craving for bubble tea and freshly baked muffins.
